• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

KR needs some input.

I have a 2002 Gtp that's still has a bit of knock on the 3.4 pulley I'm running. I'm currently running the following supporting mods.
SD headers with a 3 inch zzp catback no cat.
K&N intake
NGK tr6 plugs gapped to 0.55
Zzp pcm tuned for 91 octane
When I'm in the boost I can see anywhere from 1-4 degrees of kr. Sometimes even cruising not in the boost I can see 1-2 degrees of kr if I'm on the gas a little. According to my aero force the A/F command says 11.2 and I'm running around 18 degrees of timing give or take. I do have a short stack intercooler I will be putting on and changing to a ported manifold and putting in a 180 thermostat. Just wondering if I'm missing anything that might help my current situation. Thanks Guys!

I had a feeling it was the tune just seeing that much timing especially on 91 is a little high. I plan to after I get the last few things I need done taking it to the dyno and have a tuner I know redo it.

If I could tune myself I would but unfortunately I don't know quite how to do it. I do still have my original Pcm. I kept it just in case I run into problems.

buy a tuner, zzp canned tunes are not that good. you got kr on the mods its made for already. tune needs adjustments.

Yes I did I'm just waiting right now for a good time to put it on. I know a lot of people say go with a full size intercooler but i felt this would meet my needs as I don't plan to lower my pulley size much if at all at this point.

The tune is okay it just needs minor adjustments. I definitely need to bring my timing down a little. An ideal point would help too as I'm thinking around 14 mabye 15.

iirc we got a few members with tuners in co. if your not up to buying a tuner maybe someone will help ya out. learning is not all that hard, hell look at me, im tuning lol i knew nothing when i got the damn thing.

the ic could help, ive seen l67 with a ssic with a 3.2 un ported manifold running 18º timing wot, i raised it from the stock 16 ish, he started with a zzp tune. it needed a lot of help.

ported lim should net lower boost too. with a 3.2 with a fsic im seeing 9.5, im top swapped so its a tad higher then a l67 buy a pound or so.

I might give tuning myself depending on where I can pick one up. I know enough to where I could probably figure it out. Where's the best place to pick one up at?

http://www.avt-hq.com/price.htm#Accessories this place sells brand new dhp interfaces for 250. after the 250 to buy the unit, its free to use. someone will chime in on with what box to order, you need to email the guy, tell him its for dhp. he gets right back to you......guy should be sending me commissions lol

or hpt is also good, but cost twice as much, good thing with hpt it can be used on just about any car, where dhp is only for 3100, 3400 and 3800 engines from 96 -05 and they are out of business so theres no support for dhp, but it still works fine. a lot of us use it, im one of em.

We have members on here that can help you with your tune. I will be buying my own tuner and tuning myself, and I don't have the first clue on how to tune. People will guide you through how to do it.

hp tuner is a lot easier to use, the software is much newer, and they just released an update where you can have a wideband serial output read by the hp tuner. I started with a dhp and sold it to buy the hp tuner.

I might pick up an hp tuner if i decide to go that route. Right now I just want a mild tune that isn't anything crazy. I'm wondering if going to a tuner at a dyno would be an ok option. At this point I'm just a little stuck.
