Was a 1997 GTP owner before moving to Japan, and I am looking for another when I get back. I was involved with OKGPC while in college, and there should be a few GPs running around with my old parts in the Central Texas area from when I demodded. Just wanted to say hi, and should be making a question thread soon.

Welcome to GPF. There are a lot of GTP's in Central Texas near Georgetown, mostly in Austin is where you will get the best deal. Up near Fort Hood the GTP's found on CL are way to pricey for what you get.
Pardon my french, but no. I had an Efini MS-8 that was 184.842 x 69 x 52.75 compared to the GPs 197.5 x 72.7 x 54.7, and it was a handful sometimes. I once had to tuck my mirrors just to drive down a "road". Parts are ridiculous enough here for mass-produced japanese cars, $400 for an IAC valve, $6 per gallon of gas, with premium at a 50 cent premium. My last car cost me 8000 yen($100) per year just for road tax, based on engine size. Current car is a 1.3 Demio (Mazda2), and it runs 19500 yen ($220) a year, and the 3.8 GP would have been close to $550 I think just for the pleasure of owning the thing. I would have liked to drive it around, as there aren't many blowers in Japan, but owning it would have not happened. Would have been better of with an F-Body, as they were actually brought over here.
Been looking on autotrader for a while. Top three cars right now are the LS1 F-body at $7-9K, L67 at $3-7K, and a VW TDI at $5-9K
