Knocking problems

So I just put on the mods that are in my sig and I'm getting shout 3-3.5 degrees of kr.(via torque app) I also am getting this code (which I don't have off the top or my head because I'm at work) that deals with the iat sensor. Short circuit? Torque is telling me that my intake air temp is a constant 140* C. Could this be giving me my problems?

Thanks,

Chris

That I don't know, I can't see your sig because I'm on tapatalk so I don't know your mods.

siggy: 01 gtp- Here to stay-3.4, SD Headers, AL104's HIA, Intense PCM

check the ait sensor wires, maybe they are cracked up and missing insulation like mine were. you can also clean it.

Yeah I just have it shoved In there. I'm not worried about just trying to see why the knock. Hoping that's it

unless something its hitting like the o2, or the dp to sway bar. or your motor mounts are shot to hell. that could cause KR.

i was stock, did a u bend delete, that got me from 8* to 5*, did rockers, no tune. zero KR, i did headers today, no KR still. only blips of im rolling and mash it. i think the o2's hitting.

got the 3.4 in the mail. then ill be tuning a bit.

That o2 could be hitting. I'll look at that more. Just thought that since the sensor is saying 140*c that it could be changing stuff

maybe i just got a bad pair of headers..:th_laugh-lol3: don;t think it'b be hitting anything downlow. how much clearence should i have between the 02 sensor and the tunnel? Going to try and figure out the iat problem tomorrow. Is there anywhere else i can put the senor other then jammed into where the throttle body and cone meet?

Chris go to the settings on torque then click on units and go through everything in there and change it to US stuff, it defaults to metric and Celsius.

Check the wiring to the IAT, if its good then I would just get a new IAT sensor. I think that with intake temps that high the pcm might pull fuel, and I know lack of fuel can cause KR.
