Knock sensors not reporting??

I haven't been able get any knock readout from my sensors the wiring is intact. is there anyway to disable them? I'm not asking to disable I need to know if it was possible that someone has removed the ability to report. it has a tune from the previous owner so idk what has all been done to it. Im in Nashville so if anyone has hp tuners or another way to check it out I'm all ears.
I ordered a 3.6 pulley and I will no install it until I can read knock
it has autolite 606's, open cone and a 2.5 dp, 175* thermo and don't ask how or why I have it, it was there when I got it.
 


when i scan it says no data received. i will try that, i'm surprised i didn't think of that...
 
I am assuming from his signature that he is using a bluetooth scanner... hmm are the devices (phone,obdII connector) discoverable and paired ? can you read other data, or is it just KR not populating ?
 


I can read every sensor on the car with decent accuracy but there is no data logged at all from the scanner. I've used every PID that can be used for my car. for some reason I doubt that I have 0 KR but being that I cant see that I'm afraid to add the 3.6, though I can't wait to
 
I figured it could be the scanner so in installed some plug-ins and still nothing.. with the strange tune, is it possible that the were told not to report and shouldn't I get a CEL for knocks if malfunctioning?
 
as stated ^^ any sensor failure will almost always throw a CEL.... but I have never heard or seen of someone "disabling" knock sensors might wanna try an aeroforce/or equivalent... maybe the app/bluetooth combo isn't reading the data properly
 


I don't have the money for a 150.00 unit to scan. everything else is reading quickly, and reporting fine so why would this one sensor not read?
 
I don't mind waiting to put the new snout on but I have to do my coupler soon and if I have to take the snout off I might as well put the new snout with the 3.6, but only if I can scan for kr
 
Maybe its the configuration of the app. You have downloaded all the PIDS and plug-ins required. look around a bit on google there are different configs out there for different applications. honestly I haven't used one before but from the sounds of it if the wires, and sensors are intact with no CEL's I would think the config on the app. but thats just me
 
I've downloaded all of the GM specific PIDs and the Grand prix PIDs as well, i have 3 different knock retard PIDs and none report
I downloaded the knock detector but i think its a dummy test, it counts the timing retard from the pcm as well as load and throttle pos.
 


I'll find me a 3/4IN wrench and giver a lil smack around and see what happens. Any ideas if it will register if i just smack the exhaust manifold? I'd rather hit there because the knock sensor is right near there.
