Keyless Remote Programming

Hi Guys,

I am following all the steps and everything is going fine until the last step.

1) Close the doors
2) remove Mall PGM fuse
3) Turn Key to ACC - 3 chimes and flashing seatbelt light.
5) Off and back to ACC. - Here instruction says The BCM may begin to chime and flash diagnostic trouble codes. If BCM has stored any diagnostic trouble codes then refer to Diagnostic system check - Body control system.
4) Open any door door- Getting 1 chime confirming programming mode has been enteretd.
5) Close door - Getting 1 chime

6) Now if I press lock and unlock it doesn't give me chime after 7 seconds and no confirmation after 14 seconds. I have checked the remote with dealer and its active and working. I tried with another remote for 1999 grandprix but doesnt work. same problem.

Is it because of Diagnostic system check chimes? I am getting that in step 4. I have cleared all the codes and there r no codes in the system.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
 


what step four? you have it listed here as 1-2-3-5-4-5 This cant be right. Please look again in the general tech section and if necessary re post it there as there is much more traffic. anyone with any vehicle can post there. it should chime when it goes into diag. mode and then again when you hold the two keys on the fob at the same time. Then they should be programmed in.
