Key FOB Coding-Reprogramming

I have a spare GM key FOB I would like to try and Code for my '04 GP GT1. The owners manual says to take it to a dealer - but the Forum must know the secret!

the 04+ you have to take to the dealer cuz it through the bcm and i have tried the only 2 ways there is to program them. the only 2 ways only work on the 97-03's. it 53 dollars and they will do up to 4 remotes

U use a tech2 to program it, your best bet is go to a local shop, could be cheaper and get it done (if they have 1) if not the dealer will
