K member swap

Has anybody ever swapped out the stock grand prix K member to an Impala aluminum K member. They use a lot of the same components, same engine / trans options. I'm building a 2002 gtp, and I have a 2004 impala I wreck for the engine on another project. It is a low km car and the K member is aluminum, they look nicer and are lighter.
