3 coats of VHT and 3 coats of Clear coat with wetsanding in between every coat. I gotta say, I love the way they look. They match the car perfectly.

I also sanded the rim of my tips to make them silver. Looks good :th_winking:

can you see the light thru those? haha they look sweet, i did my stockers w 2 light coats and a medium coat and i couldnt see anything in the day...so i sold them
 
They are kinda dark. I'm hoping it turns out like the ones on my GT where they magically became more visible.
 


Looks awesome for vht, what grit did you sand with in between and did you wetsand before you put on your first coat?
 
I only had 2000 grit laying around so that's all I used the whole time. I sanded it before the first coat of VHT and in between every coat of VHT/Clear coat.
 
The ones on the silver GP next to mine have gotten pretty rough to the touch but still look good and it's been a year and all I did to those was literally three coats of vht, no sanding or clear. They look ok but lack the shine and smoothness that these have now ;)

I'm gonna try and keep on top of them, wax every once in a while to protect them.
 


lol I'm trying to find rims.. I may just go the Bullits route since there are a couple of people selling some around me.. I definitely don't wanna rock snowflakes in the summer! Doesn't make sense anyways: There's no snowflakes in the summer time lol
 
you need to wetsand more and use a buffing wheel with some rubbing compound :) i can still see fisheye in your reflection.....looks good tho....super dark tho
 
i like. now i know what they will look like on my car :) and if u really want your tips to stand out, go get some mothers mag and aluminum polish. its super cheap and it works wonders. trust me.
