Just Got a new digital DIC in the Mail- no wiring harness?

Ok.. so I have an 02 GT with the stupid analog DIC that I've been waiting to change out with a digital one. I finally found a digital DIC off of a GT on ebay and bought it. I wanted to buy from Morad, but all he had were GTP DIC's for like the last 3 months solid. Anyways, the digital DIC i received did not come with any wiring/ harness or connectors.. just the unit itself. Is this a problem? I thought i needed new wires from the digital DIC to do the conversion? What exactly do i need?:th_scratchhead:

Buying from Morad guarantees the harness and plug. What I would do is email Ed Morad and ask him for the plug and a few inches of wire. I bet he will sell you one.

okay Thanks. so i do need a plug and some wiring from the new digital DIC right? Will a few inches of wiring really be okay.

Ya, I ordered mine from Morad and he included the plug with about 4 inches of wire, which was plenty for me to splice. Just make sure the plug/pigtail is from a 98-02 GT.

Alright I'll have to send him an email and see if I could buy the plug with about 4 inches of wire for me to splice then. Excellent. Thanks for your help, hopefully I can get it... Or i just pissed 45 bucks away on ebay.:th_shakinghead1:

Check behind the radio and around that area. That year of a car should have the plug already(just hidden because it is not used)

99 I believe was the last year for the digital plug. Ive read reports of 00 models without the plug in the dash.

Yeah, everyone has always told me that after 2000, there were no more digital plugs in the dash. That doesnt make sense to me why, if it remained an option on these cars, it wouldn't still be in there for all the model years. BUT that's GM for ya.. they don't make alot of sense sometimes:th_laugh-lol2:

I am sure they did it to save the money and time to install it on all vehicles.....even if it was a quarter per car, they probably saved 50 grand....everyone does everything they can to save money, the customer is not always thought of first...
