• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Buick L67 and trans

Immediate plans....

Still have to pull the oil pan to see exactly what I'm dealing with. Assembly has been sitting for a year. Minimal rust but bugs EVERYWHERE.

I plan to get into the bottom end and clean up what I can. Hopefully everything in the pan will look promising.

With that I'll swap over all of my accessories and replace gaskets.
Aluminum oil pan

L67 bottom
105Springs
1.8 roller rockers
Intense pushrods
Stock NEW timing set
42.5 injectors
L26 pcm with tables adjusted
Modded LIM
L67 Ported heads
speed daddy headers
Custom nocat-back
L67 flex plate and torque converter are going on too

Once this setup is up and running I'm taking the old L26 and rebuilding with S/C bottom end parts.

Updates as I get around to them. Thread will be pic heavy

Getting around to pulling my arp heads studs to swap to the other engine and this BS happens! I take too much pride and care in my worth to deal with stupid stuff like this ugh!

Hex hole stripped with the proper size so I had to force it out. I'm sure I can still use this it's just aggravating to keep running into stupid problems.

Should solve a lot of issues and now I have an electronic boost gauge logging through HP tuners.

The weeks are just dragging by and I get my first check from this place on Tuesday. My service manager at work says buy the parts through us and we can just do it through your payroll. Ha! Heck no!

She'll be going back together with

Buick L67 Bottom
L67 Heads P&P
1.8 Roller Rockers
IR stock length oil restricted pushrods
Very slight port on intake just to clean up casting
105 springs
Gen V polished in & out
3.4 ZZP pulley
Speed daddy headers to custom exhaust
FBody front brakes
Kyb struts all around
Front & rear strut tower braces
I have an L67 torque converter and flex plate I may use. I hear the stall is just a bit higher and it should bolt right up.

Yup starting with the 3.4 because I believe I should be able to with these mods and a good tune. Cam and craziness will come down the road when I rebuild the L26.

I should be able to use the L26 computer with tables from an L67 as well. Have my new map sensor and I'm hoping I'll finally be able to use my LQ4 MAF with that size pulley.

you didnt pull it apart to check anything out ? its much easier to replace any gasket while its out of the care believe me lol

Interested to see how your build goes. I've got the same car haha my first order of business was getting rid of those steelies. Good luck!

Ha yeah they aren't much to look at. I cleaned them up and put a couple coats of tire black on them for a nice deep matte black finish. All I need for now since the FBody brakes fit behind them.

I appreciate the SUB!

I get paid every 2 weeks at this new job so bigger bumps at a time.

Just sold 2 Gen 3s, but my sale thread isn't going very well. I'll be adding a trans to the list soon.

I want get an XP cam, but time and money are short. This has to last a while and the other block will get torn down after Evas running on the L67.

I finally got around to snatching the oil pan off the old engine and found chunks of piston inside. Whew.

No gasket on the aluminum pan. Sounds good to me!
