This whole abbreviated words thing is really getting tiresome. And the posters that insist on using the tired old "lol" in every other post:th_sign-lame:Do these people really laugh out loud all the time? Tell you what, how about actually typing out phrases and complete words for a change.You know, like you should have learned in school.Remember? Here's a few examples.....you are, not ur. probably, not prolly. people , not ppl. Get it?
 


I agree, but for me, as long as people don't use numbers and apply some punctuation here and there, I can live with the rest.
 
I think LOL has been adapted over the years as being able to express humor online.. Now some of the teenagers now a days that use abbreviations while talking such as BFF,LOL,LMAO,OMG thats ridiculous.
 


i like saying full sentences with proper grammar, but i dont really use correct punctuation or capital letters. its easier just to type.

I agree with the lol statement. I mean if you think something is pretty funny are you just going to say hahahahaha or what? Lol is just used to show that you think something is funny not that you are actually laughing out loud while reading something, although sometimes you might be.
 


It's not as bad on here as it is on other forums. At least you can read and decipher most peoples' posts. I find that it's harder to think of the text abbreviations for words than it is to just write them normally. It's like speaking a foreign language where you have to actively think of the words before saying them.

Oh, and some things can best said with a single letteR.

Its funny that you say that. I work for an international company and have some counterparts in Amsterdam, we were talking over chat one day and I used "lol" well all of a sudden there was silence on the other end.. The dude thought it meant lots of love..... Was pretty embarrassing until I told him it was laughing out loud...
 
lol lol lol. it means laugh out loud, when will u ppl realiz it is the wave of the future so spell in abbreviations. hehe. seriously i do agree i find i use the basic ones like lol or lmao but as far as the rest i find it easier to type than to think about it and abbreviate, i tend to find if a whole sentace is abbreviated i dislike it. ooo and as a side note i hate when people use axe for ask when speaking, no offence meant but it bugs the s***t outta me
