Is this dealership crazy?

Everyone has their opinion, but truth be told, I'm sick of people complaining about how dealerships suck, ect.

Sorry, just speaking the truth on my end. I hate dealerships other than the parts dept.

If you're not capable enough to inspect a car before you drive away in it, then it's your fault for what happens.

I agree 100%. Don't trust anything certified now matter what it is or the salesmen word. Check yourself or get someone else you know to do it.

off er a decent price (maybe 5K?????) or tell them they suck. dealerships are very crooked look around more, but don't write it off yet. tell them the intake gaskets are leaking, probably true! and then lowball them.

I should of clarified my statement:

I'm sick how people complain about what a **** car they got from a dealership.

Like I said, and you stated... be thorough or have someone look over the car if you can't... other wise, tough ****.

A friend of mine came over about an hour ago to show of his 04 cobra he just picked up And yes it was a sweet car drove nice and sounded good mad fast But then he told me what he paid

23k Is about right for that car.

ive seen them as lw as 16k with around 45000 miles he actually got them to take it back lost 1000 but is now in a 03 with 38000 that he paid 18k for so it worked out for him and now he owes me

I wouldn't get it at all. I got mine 99 GT $5,000 with brand new paintjob with 83,000 miles. private though. Might there be underlying problems but otherwise, it runs like new.

I saw two exactly same cars for $5800 but theyre over 110k. This one went overboard.

One thing people have to understand is that business is business. Just like where ever you all may work, a dealer has to make a profit too. You may make yours on groceries, he makes his on cars. Now yes, there are some really shady dealers, but there are some pretty damn honest to god ones too. My dad's been in the dealership business for almost 20 years and I've worked at his for a couple. I've been to more auto auctions than one can count, and with the way the economy is rolling now, buying used cars is hard. A lot of vehicles at the auctions sell for over retail book, imagine buying that and having to try and sell it to someone?

Yeah, you don't know the dealer, so your best bet is a CarFax report and someone with the skills to inspect it. Also a test drive is ALWAYS in order.
