Is it IMPOSSIBLE to find a used OEM set of Tail Lights?

-If its on craigslist, its already sold when I call on it.

-Morad hasn't had tail lights on his site in months.

-Everyone here spray paints sets that are in good shape, therefore none for sale.

-Ebay sells junk lights from China

-Junkyards have Zero W-Bodys, let alone GP's.

I found a t-boned GP SE last week on craigslist with 60k miles, told the guy I wanted the head and tail lights. He said 40 bucks. Told him Id be there first thing in the morning. Called him the next day and the bastard sold the lights out from under me. Thats the closest Ive ever been to owning some of these elusive things.

Anyone have any tips?
 


What does a GM plant have to do with it? GM hasnt dealt with this style GP since 03, and the GP was built in Kansas...
 
do you mean morads site as in his website? just send him an email or call him if you really want to know what he has in stock. he should have everything.

besides, why do you want stock tails? they are red and boring. tinted tails are where its at and you dont need a pristine set to tint.
 
I assumed his ebay list was all he had. I didnt know I could email him for other parts. Ill have to give that a try.

Sorry I dont follow the crowd, but I dont like tinted tails, and even if I wanted to tint the ones I have, one of the lenses is actually cracked and letting in water, its not a seal issue. The other one is just delaminated and still looks bad.
 


I know what you mean about the stock tails, although I like the tinted ones, half the people don't know what they are doing, so they buy stockers for $50 a pair or so, spray a crap job on them and then turn around and try to sell them for $100. I've seen that happen on more than few occasions.
 


I think its a pita to find good stock parts now that they are a tad older cars. my car got 80k on it and afew things need to be replaced. and my only options seems like the dealership.
 
I was in the same situatuion when I desiced to replace my tailights, due to the plastic seperating and letting water in between the two lenses, looked like crap and drove me crazy. All the ones in the junkyards were junk too, and then I realized that if I buy a good used ones, they will come aprt too, just a matter of time. I endded up buying new ones to be done with it. Yea, I know, they were made in Tiawan, but at least it was not China. I think I orderd them from Rockauto.
 
ill let u have my left tail light after i get my led tails in. i dont think u want the right one though someone smashed it but the left is in good condition, if u want it.

supersport, just wanted to let you know i got an almost mint pair of tails from a guy downriver for 30 bucks a few days ago:th_winking:
