Is a SSIC worth it?

Looking for a little more hp I've heard mixed reviews is a ssic worth doing? What kind of gains can you expect? I can't run a fsic because of my setup.

Ssm90. You don't have l67 heads with injector ports. It was the cheap way to go to get a supercharger but it limits you from that point on.
 


Nahh it wasn't cheap I already had it built N/A with a GT1 cam, bored .020 FMP, ls7 lifters, ported heads equivalent to stage 3, 3 cut valve seat, SS valves, 90's valve springs, all brand new internals, higher velocity oil pump, then I decided I wanted more so I supercharged it, SFI crank pulley, 3.4 mps 8 rib, SSM90 LIM extra porting to match heads, gen 3 inlet and outlet ported, N* LQ4, modified rails, flow matched injectors, slp exhaust motor back what zzp failed to tell me is with that setup I couldn't run a fsic I was pissed when I found that out motor currently has 4,000 miles on it

SSIC is the only way to get a Intercooler on your setup.

L67 heads let you take a m90 with fsic all the way down to 2.8 or lower pulley.
 
Yea I know I'm debating if it's worth it? I've heard some people say the ssic can warp? I currently have 0kr on 93 octane with the 3.4 running 8lbs boost is all but it flows well. Is it true that me running a 3.4 with L36 pistons higher compression it's like a 3.3 or 3.2 on a gtp? How much do you think I could drop with a ssic? I was thinking about throwing a 3.3 on it to see if I still have 0kr

im pushing it on a 3.2 top swapped with a fsic. same mods but i got rockers and 42 injectors and stock cam. and a real top swap.
 


sell ssm90 setup buy 2k turbo kit thats in the classifieds......

cheaper than swapping to l67 heads and fullsize and as others stated i wouldnt bother with a short stack or an intercooler for that matter but im bias and hate ic's anyways id rather use e85 instead.

wouldnt even swap cams keep the gt1 toss sc and go turbo......
 
you could run a methanol injection kit, there is one for sale now in the classifieds for 350, it will take a lot less work to install than an intercooler and will be about as good as full stack.

your ssm90 sucks for the exact reason you specified, you can't have a full size intercooler. buyer beware.
 
Zzp told me not a good idea for a summer DD I guess idk alot about a methanol injection kit though

Yea I wish I had e85 available it'd already be in the car but as far as putting L67 heads on isn't going to happen already have a bunch of money in my heads and setup. I'm just looking for a little more hp I'd love a turbo but I don't have funds to dump that kinda money in a tranny to support it.
