on my way to work this morning and i go to hop on the highway. it's a fun on-ramp, downhill, little banking, and a long sweeping left curve. i'm behind the newest body style civic si, and they're always fun to pick on. he's giving it hell down it, so i'm obliged to do so as well. the highway was unusually empty this morning, and he hopped in the middle lane and we slow down to get side by side and take off. i start to pull on him pretty decently... and then my buddy josh comes out of nowhere and blows both our doors off. i'm in my stock TC balt, i'm assuming the civic was stock or bolt-on... his ion redline is on a TVS blower and ethanol. good feeling gone, but at least the civic got beat by two GM cars this morning
 


no kidding. here's a shocker though: my girlfriend totalled her car recently, so we've decided that she's gonna end up paying for what's left to do to it and DD it until she can bank up a little money for a car. makes the most sense financially, but i really hope it holds up. it's not like i built that car to be a DD ever again

but seriously, that car takes off from a roll like a rocket. i smelled the ethanol, and was jealous

They normally make in the range of 350+...HP figures are actually kinda close, it's the TQ figures that make the displacement obvious...

he said he put down a 13.8 with a 2.5 60' at the track. id like to get side by side in the right gear with him to see what happens, but i'm sure it'll be the same story. the car is no joke
 
13.8 with sh!tty 2.5 60' nick... meaning it's back-halfing like a mother f*cker and could go much quicker with a better launch.
