• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Intercooler information needed.

I got this intercooler and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it. I've never seen one like it so I don't really know anything at all about it.

That's Billy Bob's intercooler. He made it in his back yard behind the trailer with the old Bridgeprot.

Yee Haw!!!

fill it with water, if it doesnt leak then you are good to go.

it looks like an old map engineering one, possibly a thrasher or prj one. throw it up on clubgp, prj will know im sure.

if it does hold water and you do put it on make sure both surfaces are completely flat. my old L36 blew up because the surface was warped from ZZP

so just pour water in it and see if it holds and it's good? It is an old one at least a few years old and the core looks tons better in real life.

Dip it into a bucket of water and then remove it and look to see if the core leaks or not.

if the tubes are the same size as the heater core, you could take the hoses off your car and run them to the new core, that will tell you if it leaks.

Has anyone heard of this new thing called "pressure testing"?

All you need is compressed air, some fittings, a gauge and a ball valve.

If it leaks there's this other really new thing called "snoop".

It's just water with a surfactant in it like dish washing detergent.

You spray it all over and where it bubbles, voilà! You found the leak.

I know, I'm a genius. No need for compliments.
