i drive a 2000 gtp with the 3.4 setup and everything and im ordering intenses pcm today and was wondering what i have to do when instaling this, do i just plug it in and go or is there something i need to do after instaling?

Nah. All u gotta do is undo 2 bolts pull the plug off and plug the new pcm in. Make sure u unhook ur battery before hand. Some people say to drive her easy for about 30 minutes and then let her have it. That's the way I did it and I didn't have any problems

oh ok thanks cause i was reading and it was saying something about doing a case learn or something like that so i wasnt sure lol did you notice a big diff in your cars performance? like did it make it alot faster?

Nah none of that. Yeah I did notice a good performance gain. Not bad foe the price. It raised my shift points to 6 grand. It didn't give me 40hp or anything but it did help a bit

oh ok cool i just placed my order now and im trying to find out the shipping details, did it take long for yours to get to you and do i just send my old one back to get my money back?

Well that's the way its supposed to work. I got mine used from a guy in kc so I still have my stock one. Honestly if u can afford it keep the stock one. U never know when u might wanna swap the stock one back in like if u wanna demod it to sell it. Sometimes someone will put a pcm in and it won't work right. Plus if u ever decide to upgrade and get the pcm fully tuned which will happen,u could tune ur stock pcm and sell ur intense pcm for like 80 bucks. Basically get ur money back. Just my opinion

ya thats what i was thinkin about doing lol i just hopethis pcm works out cause i got a race lined up with a stock lt1 camaro i got to beat lol

yeah u do need a case learn. I think you can do it with autozone's techII. Are u really running a 3.4 without headers or at least a plog? Next on your list of mods should be a scanner to scan for KR...

Well ur car will stay runnin fine. I did the same thing with the pulley. But I bet ya with that pulley and no plog or headers u have kr. U need to get either headers or go with a powerlog or plog. It replaces the restrictive front manifold. I did that and it helped a bunch. I've got all the same mods u do but I have a front plog and I ran a 14.1 at 97mph

The plog is a front manifold replacement. Direct bolt in. The front manifold on these cars is almost as restrictive as the u bend

This thread is so lame LOL Can you not search a website to find a part...or use Google? Just wondering...it isn't hard. Because when you google, "Front Powerlog"...look at the first thing that comes up... http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=Front+Powerlog&aq=f&oq=&aqi=&fp=leBsIIJAIN0 And before you ask...no, you don't need the rear manifold OR the crossover.

Case Learn:

Just go to any dealership (or anyone else with a Tech II or Snap-On scanner). Ask them to perform the Crankshaft Position Variation Learn program. If they aren't sure what that is, tell to them to get the book out and figure out how to run "DTC 1336 - Crankshaft Position (CKP) System Variation Not Learned". It only takes a couple minutes. Be sure to tell them to "NOT REFLASH the PCM". If they reflash it instead of doing the CASE learn then you have a stock PCM again...YAY! Much more KR. Intense should do one free re-tune if a dealership does overwrite your tuned PCM.
