• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

installing 1.9 rockers next week

Rockers are a great mod, I haven't grown tired of mine yet, and i've had them in my car since 2003 and nearly 100,000 miles with them. And as was said above, A full ICed/Rocker/Header car can be pretty damn quick. I'm planning for 12s for my setup. My goal has always been at least a 12.9. I'm hoping with the addition of Alky, Higher Stall, Gears, and Slicks my goal is obtainable. I'm always skeptical though. I haven't raced the car in years at the track...

thats kew and good luck if you were in grand rapids, mi it takes zzp 2 hours to in stall aint that crazy they really know what they are doing and they quoted me $150 plus your rockers and 105 springs

Rockers are just a cheaper alternative to a cam...they make somewhere close to a cam but not quite as much...I know for a fact I've been beat by a intercooled and rockered car with my XP Setup and that thing was stupid fast...

And yeah when I had my 1.84's vs. stock I could really feel a difference around 4-5K ;)

Whos Intercooled rockered car was that Nick? :D

It probably had the catback off of it and it took it the entire HWY to get to that speed:th_king-normal:

LOL

Can i change the oil right after finishing the rocker job ? cause the motor oil is real old and i need to change it. Or should i wait the 250-500 miles zzp says to do.

There's going to be a slight breaking period as the pushrods wear out any imperfections in the new seats of the rockers. If you have a magnetic drain plug it should be able to catch anything bad along with the filter.

I'm at about that 500 mile mark after my rockers and I'm changing it this weekend. I used dino oil though so I'm eager to get back to synthetic.
