installing 1.9 rockers next week

I know this is an old thread though I have the buick regal gs we still have the same engine etc anyway anyone know where I can get 1.9 roller rockers and springs etc used or new cheaper than than the $399 price tag I see and intense-racing, wbody or hbody , and zzp I need them like yesterday

Do you need to remove the heads to replace the springs??? I thought you had to.

no. get a spring compressor tool, press the springs down, remove the locks and the springs will come off the top.



or you can do it like i did with a big hammer and a socket, but good luck getting them back on that way

Now the next question. Cam or 1.9 RR..... I dont want to have to buy new heads as they are about $1000 and that brings my build cost way up. Is there going to be much noticable difference between a stage 1 cam and 1.9s
