• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Im in the crossroads....to keep modding or not :)

Ok so im at the point that I want to keep modding the GP or I should just stop(car is running perfectly with no KR). I recently acquired an XP cam , #105 springs and Gen V supercharger from a member here. SO the big question now is should I go ahead and do the install knowing that im still going to throw more money into the car or should I leave it how it sits. It currently has CAI,ported Gen 3 m90 (reptile) , Overkill PCM, headers and 3.4 pulley . Also in doing the install I know for sure that I will need to upgrade the stock tranny . Pros and Cons of both situations are GREATLY appreciated my fellow GPFer's. :)

I was in your shoes a couple years ago with a typical 3.4 setup. Two words: DO IT

My current mods are in my sig. A cam is what really makes these motors come alive.

Oh and my stock 115k mile tranny is just dandy...

Nice mods on that car! :) how much HP/TQ are you putting down to the wheel?

I haven't dyno'd it yet, just had it street tuned. If I had to guess I'd say its right around 320whp the way it sits now on a pretty conservative tune. My goal is to eventually run E85 then crank up the timing and drop to a 2.8 pulley. Hopefully the I'll be around 340-350whp.

Leaning towards the build , will have to take a few days off work to get to work on the engine , the tranny is another story thinking of just going TEP

Do it. I'm still in the process of getting my comp g running right but when i do it'll be so much fun

Run the stock trans until it goes - it may end up lasting a good while. My car has been cammed since last spring 2012 and I just recently added heads and an IC. The trans is still fine...

if this is your only car then stop modding it. leave it how it is an enjoy it.

if this is a second car that you want to mod more, then mod it.
