ILoveAudi's 98 GTP - Turbo Hoopty

Re: ILoveGM's 98 GTP - Looks a Little Warm

psh, al103's and 3.2 that thang
I'm done with it for the year. Car probably won't go six more weeks before it gets put away for the winter. Plans are to either get ic or stage 3 heads over the winter if not both if I can find a way. And also get a wideband for tuning purposes.

or save just a tiny bit more and put the kit that was on the car before back on! plenty for sale in the fs section for cheap!

All that work you wanna do and all that slow still! Do it right!

Re: ILoveGM's 98 GTP - Looks a Little Warm

I know I'm eventually going to turbo. That was always the plan. I always thought I'd wait awhile though lol.

Re: ILoveGM's 98 GTP - Looks a Little Warm

Well I'm starting to get some kr again. There's a few possible causes that I can think of. The first is that it could be false considering my motor mount isn't in too great of shape. It needs replaced. The second reason I'm thinking could be the fuel pump. When I turn the key forward before starting, sometimes the pump makes a very odd, lower pitched sound instead of the higher noise it usually makes. Also am going to need to replace my front struts. The passenger side is clunking pretty bad now.

Re: ILoveGM's 98 GTP

Just because the front end clunks, doesn't mean it's a strut.

Right now, over bumps turning right, my car clunks and has a steering wheel shake. Come to find out, it's the outer tie rod.

Raise the vehicle and shake the tires side-to-side, that will indicate a bad tie rod. Wheel shakes front and back, that indicates a bad wheel bearing I believe.

Just bought a wideband for my car. Even though I'm not driving it right now lol.

A few things I've gotten so far. Walbro pump, modified fuel rails (front rail is being sent back and fixed), and a wideband.
