• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I want your opinion...

I have an opportunity to purchase a 1994 Firebird with a 3.4L in it. It is pretty much rock stock but I have always wanted a Firebird and I can't help myself but continue to daydream about buying this car. I really want one with T-tops but in the climate I live in I am afraid they would leak something fierce. The one I am looking at buying has a hard top. Any suggestions or opinions are helpful, thanks and safe driving out there. :th_wtf:

i say if u dont mind not having a v8 then go for it it obviously will be more of a cruiser then a performance car and if u plan on swaping in a v8 i would just save up and buy a v8 cause its so much trouble to swap a v8 u need to change sub frame and alot of other stuff

I agree save your money or get the V8. I had a 2002 sunset orange bird with 500HP loved that car but sold it. I think next will be either a 1970 ss Monte Carlo, a 80's ss Monte Carlo, or another Grand National.

I would go for it! that 3.4L will save you on gas for sure. I have owned enough firebirds and camaros. I had a 91 with a v8, and would fill it up on sunday, and end up filling it up about wens/thurs. Plus if you are really really wanting one, don't let it slip by. Don't worry about if its a v8 or ls1 or v6.. To be honest, it will get you from A to B.

The 3.4 wasn't all that good on gas...

A friend of mine used to have a 3800 Firebird. Thought he was hot **** with his RWD. The GTP put him in his place, haha. I'd save up and buy a LS1 bird. Settling is never a good option. I settled on the last car I bought and I kicked myself for it every day until I sold it.

if all youre gonna do is do visual mods and hard park it all day, feel free to buy away.

if you want something that can move out of it's own way, pass.

Had t-tops in 86 grand prix. Never really leaked but always had wind noise and the sun was always giving me glare. At least moon roofs have pull shades.
