i neeed help deciding on exhaust

get rid of the mufflers , leave the cat and resonator alone .. it sounds awesome , go to youtube and search for gtp no mufflers ..
 


well, lets just say this. these cars sound like crap no matter what you do to them.

the best option you have is a high flow cat, a nice big resonator/glasspack, and some higher quality mufflers (NOT CHAMBERED). dont go over 2.5" size either because there is no reason to and it just makes it louder.
 
Oh.... Now I have a 1999 GT with new flex downpipe, Magnaflow high flow cat, Ubend delete, Resonator delete, two Flowmaster delta 40's with no tips.. It's loud and deep. Start up is awesome, idle it sounds amazing and I can hear it across the street. Get on it hard it sounds good from inside but don't know about outside but told it sounds good when friends hear me go by, let off the gas after a hard launch, YA RASPY!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like a Honda idling down LOL... I can post vids as soon as I get my lifter problem fixed!!

BTW, I'm going back to a cat setup, and have been debating on throwing a res in there. I need a cat to pass inspection...****ing **** hole jersey.

Yeah that's why I kept the cat. Plus I don't wanna be that guy everyone hates sitting behind at a stop light because you can smell fumes coming through your heater.

Just grab a glasspack.
