My friend totaled her 01 gp gt.. i basically have one day to take whatever i want off of it before she scraps it.. any ideas what i should take? maybe some easy parts for a nice sell? Thanks!!

It really all depends on the condition the car was kept in,2dr-4dr that sort of thing.if the car was kept in great shape then go off of what you think you might need to replace or might want for a spare, then what ever you aren't using post in a forsale thread and see how it goe's from there ....or.... just take the whole thing and part it out to make some profit for yourself.(just a thought)

Window regulators for your car
Blower motor resistor is nice to put on a shelf
Struts/springs if they are better than yours (requires swap)
Wheels if you can get some donuts to toss on it
Engine/trans if it's good and you want a spare
In one day..... you can fully strip a car.

i agree with just taking it yourself. shes probably gonna get what 200 bucks for it? you still get that with a stripped car. so ask her if you can have it and pay her later when you scrap it.
otherwise i too would do the window and blower motor resistor. maybe even the blower motor.
if you dont want the motor and the trans you could do little things like the alternator. if you have the stock one and the scrap car has less miles, why not?
valve covers-sometimes people are looking for stock ones. or people are intimidated with painted them thereselves so you could paint them and sell em.
battery in good condition? if its newer than yours take it. but dont take it and let it sit cuz then you'll kill it.
interior? does it match? better condition than yours?
any body parts? maybe you got some bad scratches and dents and with the parts you get off her car all you would have to do is pay for paint.
finally check the wtb section and get a real quick look to see if someone is looking for stock stuff and pull it off and sell it

i wish i was this beforehand.. i got a call and i had about an hour of daylight to grab whatever i could (it was getting scrapped the next moring for 400$ and i don't have a spot to put the car or else i would have bought it) ... i decided to take her leather seats, smog pump (only because it was right there with the fender ripped off), tail lights, dual climate control, nothing really off the engine because it was smashed up and i ran out of time (i have a new battery, alternator, water pump, whatever), lug nuts (rim was bent from the accident or i was taking those, i brought four tires to put on the car just in case) oh and there was a brand new performance cam sitting in the trunk so i took that too =p.. if for some reason it's not scrapped yet i want to go back for another hour...
