• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I am ticked!!!!!!!

ok thanks for clearing all that up. that all makes so much more sense now.

good luck with the swap.

im now thinking the problem with the shop you went to wanted no part of doing this swap for you as you need to swap a lot of wire harness and the pcm to the monte.

Dude.. why didn't you say so. There's plenty of guys in the area.

One being me, but currently I have a full schedule for the next few weeks. Hit up NEPontiac.org and say I sent ya. Then ask around. Might be a few guys willing to help out.

There's a couple guys in Quinzzzzzeeeee aka Hitman and Swiggles, but usually they are busy modding their own stuff. Well ok Swiggs breaks his on purpose to mod differently, but don't let him know I told ya.

Sadly I might not have a choice anymore but to get rid of the monte and the gtp, and buy a new car. If this happens thought I am buying myself another gtp, or monte ss and just giving up hope to restore the monte z34.

Resell the Junk GP and use that money to repair the 3.4 in the Monte.
If it's just a timing issue go get a Chiltons and go at it.
Run it 'til the wheels fall off.

This swap you're talking about would be a huge undertaking.

I don't think that would be worth it honestly, I replaced the WP and the rattle is still there :(. the frame is all right, but the rest of the thing is falling apart and the body is in rough shape. I mean really rough. truck doesn't work doors don't lock the window doesn't work, interior heavily smells of smoke. Along with this a lot more problems it would cost about 2 grand just to get that thing to pass inspection and be a good dd cheaper to junk it for roughly 800-1000. and the monte for about 800 and get a new car. Unfortunately, I will regret this but I don't have the option. I need a car for work and it needs to be reliable, and it needs to be inexpensive.
