hv3 install

Ok, just finished up at the shop and a whole lot of RTV helped calm it down, before then it wasnt sealed at the back of the manifold.
So, we cleaned up the lim and added the gasket with the middle clips cut and grinded down. Now, i have gotten rid of the code 300,
and 1380, but still am working on the 171. Its running fine and idling fine as well. but i would have no idea why it would be running
lean. What gives?
 


Ok, so reading that this P171 could have something to do with the o2 sensor, could having drove around with the HV on causing a bad vac leak have damaged the o2 sensor? we fixed the vac leak, i dont hear anything anymore and the idle is back to normal. So, should a new 02 be the next thing i change?
 


Then we went back and set the gasket down. Not makin noise anymore but still throwning the 171. Ltft's at 16.4 but the car drives fine
 
Just snap the clips off or zip them off with a dremel. They only hold that silly egr tube or whatever it is in place. Definately sounds like a leak you have there. Swap the gasket and make sure you have new orings on the injectors as well if you continue to have issues. Also you absolutely should not need rtv on that..... Just the gasket.
