OK this past weekend i was doing some general checking (looking and poking around in my engine ) keep in mind i have looked at this before all seemed normal anyway i opened my radiator cap and i had some brownish clay looking stuff in my radiator long story short i would like to get your opinion on what you think it could be..

ADDITIONAL INFO- me and a buddy of mine flushed it like 3 times also lets go ahead and rule out HG its not that its not in my oil tank or under the oil cap after that my radiator hoses top and bottom when the car is cool are flat MY GP HAS NEVER OVERHEATED

Thanks.

yeah i had the same thing. Had to do a complete flush of the system(even though you'll never be able to get all the DEX out) and replace it with some normal green/yellow stuff. When i did mine i did several flushed and just filled it with water to try and get as much out as i could and on the final flush filled it with normal coolant before ti started to cool off outside,

Hey thanks alot guys
@lishap i know i checked it after i created this topic and the coolant is now mixed basically i still have some deathcool in there so i will be doing another flush later on today thanks

consider changing your radiator cap. Mine had the same stuff from air getting to the dexcool and it turns out my cap wasnt sealing.....

UPDATE:......sort of.....well no i didnt get a chance to perform any maintanance but Curious i will do that. that will be the first thing i do is rad cap and next i will have a real update

MMMMMMM beefy lol mines look like that but brighter whould have took a few pics before but i flushed it out a couple times thanks for the pics man

I drained my system.

Ran 2 cans of coolant flush (topped with distilled water) in my Radiator for about 2 weeks.

Back flushed with the hose.

Ran it on straight distilled water for a few days.

Emptied and put all new fluids in it.

Spotless.

I brushed what I could out of the reservoir.

Filled it with 2 cans of brake cleaner...

Shook it and let it soak for about 5 minutes...

Added rice and shook it like a baby!!!

Then... Well... To be honest... I took a shower with it afterwards... That Slut.

That's about the best you can do. It's what our impala with sludge needs. You can flush/backflush each thing individually which is the best practice. (Engine, radiator, heater core)

Thomp Mine looked exactly like the pic you posted but only thing that bothered me was the fact that it would get a little heated as in it would go above the middle marker but now ive completed a full systems flush and now everything is working fine Thanks to all who submitted info and tips

Navy pretty much the same only i ran with it for a couple of hours its pretty decent she runs like she does when i got her

Yeah I guess getting it to full temp is important, I'd use it for a week but it's getting cold out and I'm not sure if that rad flush is freeze safe.

Oh i wish my friend where im from (galveston texas) there is no winter i think the lowest temp was a whopping 67

Well you're safe to run it for a while. I was just saying because I'd flush our impala (and make a video as in in depth how-to) but it's getting too late in the year, too cold. I hate winters.

O ok got cha ....I hate the winter too but man we need it dude the humidity is balls here always 80% or higher i have my fingers crossed man :th_thumb-up:
