• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Huh?

^ Right, cuz your lowered... An additional .5-1 degree over what I have now is not going to pull my wheel in 2". The camber would have to be stupid excessive. Like I said, once I lower it should look better, hence more camber.

Either way, I'll keep you guys posted once I find out the stamped offset, and what, if anything that comes of it.

^^ I seriously cant believe you wont pop open the trunk, take out the freaking spare, grab the jack and the tire iron and check the wheel yourself.

Lol... I have a jack in my garage, but no tire iron. Tire iron would mar the shyt out of my wheels. I had to try 3 different sockets b4 I found one that fit. Tried an impact socket, craftsmen 12pt dw, and finally a cheap Taiwanies 6pt sw. Marred up one hole pretty bad b4 I found one that fit... And just who do you think is going pull the wheel and verify the stamping at my shop :p.

Hell you don't even have to remove the rim..jack up one side rotate the rim and with a flashlight look for the stamp.. Turn the wheel if needed.

At this point your only guessing what you actually have instead of taking 5 mins of your time and confirming it.

Pure laziness

I'm new to this and hope I'm doing this right. I'm looking for a complete bumper jack system for a 1972 Grand Prix. Is there anyone out there that might be able to help me with this. thanks and by the way My name is Jim, from ohio

I would post this in the "Wanted to Buy" forum". Also, may not have much here on that particular year as this is mostly a W-body site, but there are some guys that may have access to it so you never know.

Should be easy enough to locate. Remember the Monte Carlo, LeSabre, and Grand Prix all used the same jack. Ebay would probably be your best bet or a scrap yard.

Idk how you figure that's relevant with this thread lol. Maybe the search feature brought you here since jack was mentioned a few times. You might consider looking on search tempest, its a basically a nationwide craigslist search engine. However Id suggest changing the search criteria from distance to best match. For the right price I'll sell the one from my '76 SJ :).

Can NONE of you read? God damn. STFU!!!! My shop is/was a mud hole (to the point of getting stuck). All I have at home is a jack, no stands. Sorry but I value my life, so Im not getting under my car. Besides its more than likely stamped on the hub flange anyway. What difference does it make anyway? Its not like the offset is going to change.

Well if they sent you the wrong offset you could get them replaced with the correct ones?

Im hoping so, after all it was their mistake so that would be the honorable solution. If not, oh well. I plan to do 20's once I figure out some custom coilovers using 3000gt/stealth bilstein inserts or just do air ride.

As for the rest of the instigators, your childish antics are a sad cry for attention. Most people are on forums to help the community, not antagonise.

we're attempting to help.

and because you put a tire on them and the car has touched the ground and moved...i can probably tell you they aren't going to accept a return.
