Huh?

Don't know what the problem is, but my 18x9 +30mm saleens are NOT fitting like they're suppose to. Any ideas?

Whats the tire size? Camber? Lowered? I'm thinking they might have sent you +24's as well, although I wouldn't be surprised if the tire was just a beefier 245. All tires are not created equal.

Edit: hmmmm

Not sure on the camber, It might be lowered slightly, or just woreout springs. Im thinking so too, however I don't see 6mm making a world of difference. Unfortunately, I won't know the stamped offset until it dries up some cuz my shop is a mud hole. The tires are 245/45 BFG G force sport comp 2's. They actually look a lil stretched, so its not the tires. Im thinking It might not look so bad once I lower it.

I have pictures of a GP with +30 saleens, once lowered with a bit camber itll look fine but youll need to roll the fenders.

as you can see his 245/45/18 look a little more stretched than yours. to be fair i run -2.0 camber since i lowered, left it alone. My bald ass tires did chew through the side but they were already done otherwise so don't worry much. that said i did run them for 2 years without getting an alignment so my toe could be way off.

edit: just jack the car and take one wheel off, see the offset stamp. itll take you 10 minutes.

Absolutely more camber if your lowered, but 30's should clear on what camber I have. Id rather the tires stick out then burn em up. Unfortunately I don't have tools at my apt and the driveway at my shop is a huge mud pit. It'll have to wait. Suppose to be 70 on wed, so hopefully next wknd its relatively dry. I will say the G force's handle nicely. With a broken sway bar end link it still stuck like glue around a cloverleaf at 60-65. Traction out of the hole is meh at best.

On pregens sidewall bulge is about as wide as the tire thread on your 245's and in my case does go past the front bumper. If youre rotating your tires with every oil change, the extra bit of camber wont be noticed.

you don't just burn up tires so long as your alignment is right. you can run up to -2* or so and be perfectly fine. in fact, that's only a 0.5-1.0* more than "stock spec".

being afraid of an aggressive alignment is laughable. don't be the guy to shoot down good ideas just because you're uneducated about them.

and theoretically when you lower it you'll introduce more negative camber naturally. so best get over not wanting to run more than stock camber.

I realise more camber is required the lower you go, your changing the geometry. I just don't think its advised to run excessive camber to compensate for improper offset. Besides I don't see .5-1° making up the difference. Then again Im not a service tech or suspension engineer. Hopefully they sent me the wrong offset, and they'll cover the cost for shipping and re-mnt/bal and all will be good. If not, its not the end of the world.

Pull one rim or rotate it find the offset stamp and There's a chance they won't do anything for you since you mounted all 4 tires onto the rims and mounted the rims onto the car and running a bit of camber will be fine no big deal.

^^ Thats what I run and my tires are fine. That's about what you'll run by default when you lower around 2''.
