Hub and tie rod question

I have an 03 GP GT. The shop said I have a bent left front hub and outer tie rod. I looked at it at home. Yes the outer tie rod is bent where it goes into the hub housing (for lack of the proper term). But I can't verify the hub is bent. The tire wiggles when I move it back and forth. But couldn't a bent outer tie rod mimic a bent hub?
