I've got a 2008 3.8 that will be run in HS. We shall see I enjoy running this size unit. Since wheel width is limited, and 225 looks to be the widest that can be put on 6.5" wide wheels, has anybody ever tried 225/50x16 tires for better front end response or less roll-over than 60 series?

You can run a 245/50/16 on the stock size rims, tire selection is kinda limited though.
The biggest downfall for you will be stock ride height, body roll and nose heavy will make it push through corners at times. Lowering it, bigger trailing arms and tires can make it way better.
I know they have an events down at the valley fair area I think.

There were probably some manufactured '07 S/C, sold and titled as '08s that were made though. I've seen one on CL. But, those are few and far between I'd assume and this guy probably doesn't have one.
