How to tell a difference between a 04+ comp g and a gtp

Buddy of mine is buying a 04 grand prix and it's supposed to be a comp g and was wondering if there is a visual difference way to tell if it is a real comp g. The badges are missing. So I was wanting to just make sure it's a comp g and not a regular gtp

It does but I didn't know if regular gtp's came with it too.

they dont. the paddles are a gomp g only deal. the tranny is a bit different too.

Paddle shifters...only comp g and GXPs have those.

Red calipers.

Badge in the trunklid and or doors.

I thought if you saw an RPO code of "WS6" its a comp g aswell, not 100% on that though.

quickest way to confirm, is just look behind the steering wheel

Yeah it was a comp g, it had red calipers and tap shift. But the car was a pos. felt allot slower than my stock 99 gtp, bald tires and he said they was new on the phone, and there was fresh oil all over the front of the sub frame. I told my buddy to pass.

My flatmate has a '06 GT with tapshift, but it ain't a comp-g. (No WS6 rpo, no 3.29 rpo, no fe3 rpo.)

My 07 GT has tap shift as well. Maybe later it was just a general option?
