• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

how many miles does your 3.8 have??

103k in my 04! I wanna keep her forever, how about those who ran their gps till 200k give some maintenance tips :th_thumbsup-wink: And dont say change the oil because I think we all know if you don't you will end up like the guy with 43k...

213,400! Aside from leaks here and there she still runs strong. We put over 115k on it since we bought it, about 70% of that highway miles. I love my GP. I wouldn't be opposed to an engine swap when it finally goes.

70234 miles and now I have overkill pcm, autolite 104s, k&n cai, 3.6 pulley, ssac headers, high flow cat, res delete with a straight pipe, stock mufflers and 180° tstat

Just saw this thread....popular question on several forums

In looking over the answers.....there is a common thread. The 3.8 engine is one of the best to come from GM....and passing the 100,000 mark is not the kiss of death for the engine.

If your my age, in my youth engines just didn't make it near 100,000 miles....and even to this day most of the buying public stil is under the impression when shopping for a used car to seek out one with under 100,000 miles on it. Its the care factor not the miles that is the major issue besides other factors like garage kept and non smoked in.

I am sure some of you have seen some amazing cars with well over 100,000 miles that look like they have half that on it. Those are the cars you want to buy.

before I forget my 97 has 138,000 on it with the 3.8 engine. also 100% original paint.
