How great is the new 2012 Impala LTZ?

Forgot to mention along with the HHR SS, Is the G8 V6 a great DD and good mod support for it, that and the newer Body syle Acuras TL and the Chrysler 300C hemi?

Doesn't the impala use a version of the LFX. Either way Malibu probably not that big on mods. Homo hot rods are just no lol. I vote G8 V6 just because it looks beautiful and isn't a total turd.

I Just looked it up and ya it is a 3.6, so is that good or not? Is that engine good for modding, if there are mods, and as a DD and for every now and then racing it one the street if some one pulls up for it.

Also i looked up the HHR SS and it has the 2.0 LNF engine from the cobalt, are they good too? The automatic not the manual.

It isn't meant to be modded.....or even driven daily. LULZ.

somewhere in this thread people already told you what they thought of the 3.6l lols

Ya but i wanted to know more, but i did read them again and i believe after that the LNF seems like a better engine condsidering the tech behind it is more better but as far as modding it i would like to know if the mods for the Cobalt would fit in the HHR.

DD possibly yes but can it be a DD even when modded and is there a big aftermarket support for the HHR like the GPs have?

Also another ? is how good is the V6 G8, as far as it being quick and if there is a good aftermarket support for it too? I was thinking if the V6 G8 can be Turbochargerd or Superchargerd for pretty cheap and can haul ass, also are there lots of bolt ons for it too and how much faster can it get with whatever mods are out there. Right now i really like the G8 and even when it first came out i always loved the G8 GT so if i cant get the G8 GT i would atleast want the V6 one and possibly maybe make it as fast as the GT with mods. Plus it would be better than the GP since it is newer and RWD wouldnt it?

The G8 V6 is just fine in my book. I don't know about modding but they look good and have up to date tech as well as great interiors. All your missing out on is the power.

Ya the L67 stock is faster then the G8 V6, the 04+ GTP looks just as good as the G8 V6 especially the Comp G. Not only that its cheaper and as better Aftermarket support, im pretty sure a fully bolted V6 G8 can loose to a Fully bolted GTP cant it?

The HHR SS i did some quick research on and found that it does have the LNF 2.0L T/C engine same as the Cobalt SS. Not ony that but it does come in Auto which is a little slower than the Manual. I think the Auto does 0-60 in like 7.4 secs and the manul can do it in 6.5. couldnt find the Quarter mile time but ill look harder for that. MY question to you guys is, is the HHR SS the 2008+ reliable, is it great for modding like can the Tranny handle power increases? I found on ZZP there are lots of Performance parts for it so what do you guys think can i get the HHR SS modded to say low 13 sec car with little to Medium use of $$$? Also it is considered as a SUV so does it have good handling, also it is a FWD car too i think and the back seats fold down which is great to haul stuff in.

I am so confused by this thread. You are talking about getting v6 cars, but want to mod them and make them quick. Im assuming you want the v6 for mpg which would make sense if performance was not a want. But saying you want them to be quick and want to mod them doesn't make sense. Any money you put into making it fast could have been put into the gas tank of the v8 thats already quick... And sounds better. :) lol

Reliable, Cheap, and Fast. Choose the two you want and we will help look for a car lol. Cause right now your looking for a unicorn man.

Very true but i want all Three that you say but yes it is hard to find one. Also you are right when you say i can use that money for the V8 car for gas, But answer this what V8 car can you find that is 4 door and very cheap to buy like say under 15k? The closest ive found is a G8 GT but is very expesensive, I am also looking for one that is reliable too.

You say V6 but the HHR is a I4 with turbo, V8 is fast but a T/C 4 banger or V6 can be just as fast with less fuel consumpation. The better MPG will help in along run. Also ya the HHR does look ugly, but as long as it looks like a normal car and not riced or as ugly as the say the froggy car the nissan juke, then im good.

Between those three that you mention Whitehead and to choose 2 is very hard because i really would like all 3. If money was no object then there is only 2 cars that i would want that would answser my ? very well and that is either a Cadillac CTS V or a Holden VXR8 Bathurst edition that i saw on a show called top gear. But if only i was rich

98-02 Trans Am. Bullet proof engine. Great power. Still competes with today's cars. Dead sexy looking. 4 seats ish. And gets what? 25 mpg hwy?

You're confused because he's confused as am I.

These threads...in fact most of the threads he posts in about his automotive opinions confuse me to death.

I don't think he even knows what he wants.

/end.

They're all fun and games until you have to DD that isht. I'd rather drink a gallon of piss each morning than have to crawl into one as my daily driver.

Ya i think i do confuse you people possibly because im look for a car that i will never find because there is not such car that fits all those needs and wants unless your willing to pay over 100k for the car.

AS for the cars you guys said the Trans am is one that im looking for but will be high on insurance but even if i do get it i cant because i cant find one around here thats in good condition with less than 90k miles. Also i never liked the Caprice, and a 82 is too old, im looking for something 99+.

My friend told me about a 2006+ Cadililac STS V8, he told me his dad had one untill he sold it for a Corvette ( Mid-life crisis i guess ), he said it was pretty quick and that his dad raced it at a track once against a SI and a 4.7 Stang and beat both of them good. He only had that car for like a year so he cant tell me really how good it is and plus he knows nothing about cars other than to put gas in it to go. I looked it up it looks very nice and has a 4.7L V8 320HP 5 speed auto and says it can do a 1/4mile in like 14 secs. Not bad but thats on paper, what do you guys know about that car and would that fit my needs of reliability? Its pretty quick, MPG is good has like 17 city and like 29 or 27 on highway, RWD, SO is it reliable and not too much $$$ to maintain especially past 100k miles
