I've always been curious just how fast these cars would go, with some mods of course. Anyways, never saw a thread where anyone asked (if there's one sorry to bring it up again).

I've had my car many times in excess of 135mph, the fastest I've ever had it was about 145 give or take a few since I don't have HUD I go off my GPS after the speedometer maxes out at 120, the GPS is still dead on with the speedometer at 120 so I'd say it couldn't be more than 5mph off at top speed.
Oh and I've had it that fast without the 18's so the speedometer wasn't off and is now only off by a 1 or 2mph (I've verified that).

My mods are in my sig. I do have stock gears

Legalities? Who cares :p 146 and still pulling in my stock 2.93's but the steering wheel started shaking...haven't gone more than 100 since.
 


ive had mine up to the end of the speedo (115)..there is no reason to go that fast. with the load on your engine and transmission at that speed youre more than likely knocking and your oiling system is beginning to fail. that is how people blow up their motors.

high speed runs are for ricers.
 
doesnt mean its not failing. ever heard of the crank creating a cyclone with the oil and having it stick in the crank area instead of oiling everything else? hmmm..

This is true but I honestly don't care about rebuilding/replacing motors and trannys. I enjoy going fast, if that makes me a ricer (even though I despise most imports and have never and will never own one) than whatever I really don't give a f**k what people think of me anyways lol

get a bike and 160 comes up really, really fast. ive grown past going fast in cars. it takes too long.

I'm buying a 02/03 Z06 next year (that's all I can afford so please don't lecture me on how they're not as fast as whatever you think of, and that is what I want anyways). I am not responsible enough to have that kind of power on 2 wheels lol

no way, i almost like C5 Z06's more than the C6s and up.
 
Yeah I absolutely love them, I'm going to find a black one, they're my favorite car and are actually affordable now, pick one up with 50k on it in the low 20 range.
 



This fast. Don't mind my roomate in the passenger seat crying like a little girl. He is overpowering my girlfriend in the back seat. Speed was 153MPH. There was a mustang SVT cobra and an 05 mustang passing me by like I was standing still. 6 speed FTW. 3.29's FTL
