Ive only hit 102...not many spots to go much faster than 100 in northern IL.
 


Well it was a TEP transmission. Forged input shaft all the good stuff. Not sure if that would help the issue or not. I wasn't flooring it either all the way through 4th. Just easing on the throttle. I'm sure it was putting more strain than normal though.

I would not call it ''braver'' maybe a better word would be stupid? lol

Ive been 135 with just a pcm and intake on my gt, it took a lil bit :p

New record to come with new mods :)
 
LOL. I will say this. The car was nothing but SLOW at those speeds. As far as accelerating any faster. Took forever.
 


Been 150mph, I chickened out and didn't go any faster, plus I was running out of road. Same setup I have now minus the Alky and Race tranny so I was still running 2.93s. The car still had plenty in it so i'm sure 150 wouldn't be much of a problem again.

I've cruised at 135 mph before for several miles... I was catching up to a group. They had my front door if you know what I mean.... all of this happened in Mexico too.
 


Most I have done for an extended period of time was 115+ between Elgin and Rockford on I-90 on Sunday August 31st, 2008...

hardly any traffic, and good radar detector FTMFW as it was the Sunday before Labor Day... oh, and it was around 8AM...

I know... I'm stupid...
 
126 and thats because the computer stopped me. Would have gone faster. Now I'll have a 3.4" pulley, intake, down pipe, computer, ect on and I'll be able to hit it quicker. That was completely stock. HUD told me 126.
