How fast do people consider "fast"?

In a steet legal car? My fast is like 160 on street never been that fast but ive been to the 120's on the highway even around curves and it feels like your floating almost. So any faster on street would be crazy (to me) on the road. Of course if I had a car that went to 160 I would def be on the road tryna go 160 :P

Also.
What would you consider a v6 car? (muscle sports touring yadda yadda) Why, why not?

Sorry if this has been asked already just wondering other peoples opinions on this. And didnt look.

I consider going fast 5mph. That's just crazy speed right there.

As for a v6 car if I had the money id like to get something that's good on gas mileage and just go all out on my gxp

Iv been about 240km/h (150mph) in a friends 2010 Camaro SS on a back road this summer. Yes, I'd consider that "fast" haha

am I the only one who prefers acceleration over top speed? Who cares if you can do 160 MPH. I would rather top out at like 120, but get there quickly rather then have a higher top speed..just me though

Fast is all what you would consider it to be. For me anything that can run 12s is fast, 13s are quick.

i'd rather have acceleration

i want to be thrown back into the seat whether from a dig or doing 90 on the highway

I also prefer acceleration over top speed, a low roll or dig run tells a lot about the drivers ability but all out top speed tells a lot about the drivers stupidity

When I consider whats "fast" I usually focus at what it is Im looking at in comparison to similar things...

Like fast for a Grand Prix (low/mid 12s) is slow for say like a Camaro, Mustang, etc.... Fast for a Camaro and Mustang (high 8 low 9) is slow for a top fuel dragster...

So really its all up for debate. With technology/engineering moving the way it is, the average definition for "fast" is just getting faster. It used to be for your average street car 13s was pretty quick but you can now bolt most of that on for about any car...

either way going 160mph is just retarded... so stop before you kill yourself/someone...

RUUUNNNEEEESSSSCCCCAAAAAPPPPEEEEE!!!!!!

anyway...... Personally, I agree with z3ro. I'd rather be able to get thrown into my seat instead of being able to go 120+. The roads around here aren't too ideal for high speeds. But what's fast? You know that feeling you get when you think you should probably slow down? that's cruising. Fast is when you yourself are screaming. That usually happens after your "cruising" speed. But that's just my opinion!

Street fast and track fast are totally different...

Kind of like a butt dyno vs a real dyno

If its a track only car then yes. But street cars are capable of doing 9's and 10's at least local to me. Then you have mile cars pulling 200+. They are hwy racers around here and are ****ing nuts!
