How easy is it to replace a bad wheel bearing?

Hi all, I just recently had my 97 GTP in to repair a bad brake line, and they told me I needed to replace my right, front wheel bearing. They quoted me at about $350 to buy a new one and install it, which I thought seemed like a lot. How easy, or hard, is it to do myself? I'm sort of mechanically sound. I've replaced my brake pads by myself before.

Also, I've noticed around the same time I heard the noise for the bearing going bad, the car has seemed to lag a little while accelerating. Are the problems related, or do I have a separate issue? Spark plugs?

Lag can be many many different problems, how many miles are on the car? Wheels bearings are not that hard at all and certianly easy enought id never think of paying someone 350 dollars parts are about a 1/3 of that or less. And id strongly reccomend getting decent bearings most everyone will say timken wheel bearings are the best should be able to get them at napa. I dont know if autozone has them oreillys for sure doesnt. Ive put national bearings in my car over and over and will never use that brand again.
