How does a 2001 Intregue with 3.5 compare to a GTP?

Curious to see if anyone has had the opportunity to have driven both of these or maybe raced or something. My mom has a 2001 Intregue and I am driving it for the next week while my car gets worked on. It seems to be a bit faster than my NA which to be honest isn't that hard to beat. It definitely surprised me how quick and responsive it is with 260,000mi on it. I have never driven a GTP before so I don't really know how quick those are. I got to thinking that maybe this is what a GTP was like? Minus the supercharger of course. Thoughts welcome.
 


Probably about as fast at the track.. the DOHC will give a bit more of a torque feeling when driving it due to the way the powerband peaks with the dual cams.

A GTP feels pretty slow other than the first second you rake the throttle in. The powerband stays flat so the feeling of "getting faster" is sorta forgotten... example my buddy has a 650whp n/a SB2, while my 3800 fiero makes 600whp+ and is quite a bit faster, the camaro feels like a rocket ship and my fiero is just a sorta fast boat.
