I was helping my dad clean out my gpa's garage the other day and I came across a box of 2 brand new exhaust tips. He was a really big car guy and has alot of stuff just layin around in the garage. Well anyways, everything is gettting sold as my gpa passed away and the family is cleaning the house and everything is going up for sale. So I grabbed up these tips and tried them on in the driveway. What do you guys think?

They really make the back alot nicer looking then the stockers. The left one is slightly crooked in the pics but I just set them on there to see how they looked.

Thanks!! I really like them and they fit the cutouts just right. Can't argue bout getting a free pair of tips :D

Thanks Fribo.. I'm not sure where he got them from, they were in 2 unmarked boxes and still had the plastic on them. I'm wondering if he got them for his Trans Am he had? All I know is everytime I look at those tips, I'll always remember my gpa :)

Thanks guys. He was a great guy. He loved his cars so much. He had bought a trans am 87 I believe after he found out he had cancer. It was heavily modded by the previous owners and he always said he would own that would blast the imports. lol. He had a big hatred towards ricers :D he also had a fairlane 500, 67 mustang, and an old model t.. I'm sure he is up there driving around the TA

Tips look awesome! What size are the outlets? 3.5" each? I picked up a set almost exactly like them, then got under the back-end and couldn't get those dang stockers off. Any tricks you'd like to share? I even took a sawzall to part and still couldn't get those old ones off. If you just did it in the driveway, did you just happen to get lucky and get a set that came off easily??

Nice tips bro, great addition and amazing for the sentimental value alone.

Gonna be tough if they have never been pulled off before. Ubolt usually holds them in place, remove that, heat or hammer, twisting and pulling... its rough but unless you want to cut them off you just gotta muscle them out

Yes they are 3.5" outlets. As for removing the stockers, they were a bi!@h to get off. A lot of hammering and takin a flat head to the muffler to bend up the pieces. It took about an hour to get both of them off. I'm sure if I was home, I could of found a better way but these were the only tools I had in the trunk at the time. Got them welded on yesterday and they look sick. Will post more pics once I can wash and wax her. Debadging starts tomorrow as well.

lol...I was gettin pissed and impatient when I took my stockers off. I ended up standing on them and bouncing. Worked like a charm. Oh and I dig your whitey!

Haha I had seen a post before about you bouncing on them. I tried but had no luck so out came the big hammer :) your car looks amazing Keith, I love the blue interior look. Idk if I wanna go blue or for red leds? My car came a long way from the first day I brought her home.

those tips be beauts. especially seeing as they were free but will probably mean more to you than any other tips would. thats great. lets see some close ups though!! ps it looks like you tucked them ver nicely

Thanks. Once all the damn rain and storms quit, ill be able to wash and wax the car and polish up the tips.. debadged yesterday in between rain, the doors and trunk came out great but the front fender looks good far away..lol it is pretty discolored where they were. Any tips on fixing that?

Here are some close up pics of the tips..
