how bad would a 05 350z beat my 98 gtp

There is this dude at a the weekend hangout spot that owns a 350z and he bags on my car all of the time. So I asked him if he wanted to race he said this weekend. He said his car is stock, and I know that its manual. I figure he will beat me but I was just wondering how bad. Everybody up there thinks its the fastest thing ever.
 


what year is it? eh doesn't matter i think you will beat him, as long as its not a g37. I beat an 03' 6 speed with my old setup which was, n/a, overkill pcm, zzp d/p, and wizard.
 
No...its just him. He thinks everyone but himself is a douchebag. They are still high 14 second, low 15 second cars from the factory.

Until 2006 they still had the weak ass single intake 3.5 VQ motor that only made MAYBE 250 to the tire...your specs are also to the crank...so good job.
 


Your point? We have boost...and torque. Something an N/A V6...does not. And epically LACKED until the twin intake design. Plus his car isn't stock either, a tune makes a WORLD of a difference.

Why don't you race one. Your car is awesome. Plus...if you consider an intake for of a mod than a tune...you've got some learning to do.

Wow. Hp and torque numbers dont matter. We have low end boost, a lot of torque, and extremely long gears to pull through making the boost highly effective. 350zs are slow!
 


who would win threads are STUPID.

Go race the kid, or do research on the car.

If he's bone stock, it will be a GOOD race.. any mods, and he will kill you.
 
youll take him unless he has a pretty heavy list of mods. those cars dont move out of their own way until they have some FI and at that point they are so ungodly unreliable that you need a built bottom end which you could buy and fully mod like 3 grand prixs for that price. tell him to take his sexy sounding exhaust somewhere else. that is the only thing those cars are good for: sounding amazing.
