hot do i line up a vs cam with a stock timing chain gear?

i was looking at my original cam and noticed that it had a notch in it for the timing chain. then i looked at my vs cam and noticed that there is no notch????






is it supposed to be like this and also how am i supposed to put the timing chain on ?

Pull the key way out of one cam put it in the other

how do i do that without breaking it or damaging it

I always pop it out of the old cam with a screwdriver, then place the key in the new keyway on the new cam. Stick the nose of the cam on a piece of wood and give it a couple gentle taps with a hammer until it's in place.

pull it out, its a 1/2 moon shape on the inside, wiggle and pull it out.

if its stuck in the cam gear, punch it out with a screw driver.
