the rpm's of my 1999 grand prix gtp are messed up in the way that it idles anywhere between 1500-2000 and when i put it in park or neutral it goes up to like 3000. my engine light is on and my power light (or whatever that light is of the battery in the dash) comes on often. Can anyone help? thanks
 


Since you have a CEL on, drive it to autozone and have them scan it for the code(s). Then post the codes here and we can help. Could be a number of things.
