hey guys i know that someone have might of ask this question already but i cant find it... for HIDS can you keep the same ballast and change the bulb? or do you need to buy a whole new kit..thank u guys and sorry again if this was asked

alright thanks man apprectiate it and i have 8000k right now but i might get new headlights with different bulb thats why i was asking

gotcha. Yeah the ballasts will still work, along with the signal wires. Just get the different bulb, that's meant for the ballast you have (IE dont mix a Digital ballast bulb with a Standard ballast bulb)

But seriously, I had 8000k..liked em...nice and blue...
Dropped to 6000k...much more visibility, and still a nice blue hint...

Fogs are 5000k, and they are ****in awesome bright

sorry for cuting in but i have a set of 6k Bi-Xenon HIDs is it possible to follow the same concept by going with bulbs lower than 6k

Get the same bulb, different temperature Soviet, that simple.

Lou, 4300k is about pure white..

3000k is more yellow, but puts out more usable light

i thnk im going to go for the yelloow, i have yellow now but not hids i just have a hid fake bulb hahaha

Haha, yeah, I do like how mine look. 6k lows, and 5k fogs atm, very nice light output. The fogs really help out with the projector cutoff too.

Try to stick to the same brand, so everything is the same gauge, and length wire, and connectors.
No sense in mix-matching, and ending up with no lights at 4am in the middle of nowhere, in a snowstorm, with no cellphone, and die.

Lol.
