HID fog lights install.

Hey so I just revived my HID fog light kit in the mail today. Opened it up to take a look. Noticed there is 2 wires with metal prongs. I didn't have this for my head lights. Also there is an extra connector. Where do these things go? Haven't been under my car to check it out yet but just starting this thread so I can hopefully get an idea before I start. Thanks for the help in advance.

Those 2 little metal prongs will slide into the stock connector, after you disconnect the fog-lights.

The extra connector is very vague...so not entirely sure what it will be.

The bulb should have 2 plugs, possibly 1 depending on the kit. That plugs into the ballast, or from a line comming off the ballast. The other line should have the 2 prongs that slide into the factory fog light plug as said earlier

Mine came like that too. I never hooked up the metal connectors, I just hook them up like I did with my headlights and it worked just fine. Just use trial and error if it doesn't work.

ya i actually got to answer my own question not long after that lol i had to install a set exactly like the ones for my fogs on a mazda 3 at work. but did you guys use anything to protect those 2 prongs that you plug into the connector? cuz it seems like they could come out pretty easily or get wet and rust or short something. and ya 3 plugs all for the ballast! kinda weird.

i checked the ultimate Hid thread and that was it! nothing about that.

The spade connector wires can be pulled out and thrown in the trash if you're using a relay harness. If not you'll be connecting them into the stock fog light harness connector.

ya got it guys thanks! now i just have to tape the crap out of them cuz one of the damn wires keeps coming loose and im losing one of my fogs. what a stupid design! why wouldnt they just give you another connector!
