Hey guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm the new owner of a '97 Grand Prix SE with a 3.8L V6. First car for me, and I'm wondering if I could get some general tips for making it better/where to go to learn as much about the car as possible. I've never really had any experience working on cars, but I'm really wanting to learn. Any ideas on rims?! I can't stand the gold...Want some chrome 18x8s for around $700 (limited budget).

id stay away from anything larger than 16s.....you have the 4t60 transmission, less strong than the 4t65

That's a very clean looking car. Welcome. I think most will agree, it needs some tint.

Sorry about the 3.6 deal. It was a typo. Corrected now. The car is really clean, and only has some cosmetic probs. I recently replaced the headliner which previously looked like someone had taken a razor blade to it...:th_nervous: Definitely going to tint the windows soon. If you suggest sticking with 16s, I shall...Don't want to though.
