ok i took the TB off and cleaned it, put it back on and now i have a crappy idle and car shows reduced engine power, help
 


What year do you have? I suspect a vacuum leak now. Spray some carb or brake cleaner around the TB and see if the motor changes tone. Did you replace the TB gasket before reinstalling?
 
its an 04 gp gt, and sh*t i forgot the new gasket, i just put a layer of rtv hi-temp on it hopfully it fixes it, i will post tomorrow what it does
 
ok thanks 5finger, i do have another question, would it matter if i fliped the butterfly plate piece over, idk if i did or not
 


That shouldnt matter at all, it just goes back to where it should.

I'd take it back off, and make sure it seals right, and clean the maf sensor with maf cleaner and make sure you have no vacuum leaks.
 
Might it have something to do with that little spring in the TB? Was that touched possibly? I've heard varied reports about that causing idle issues
 
is pb blaster considered an electrical parts cleaner??, if i can't figure it out today yet, it looks like im babying it 4 miles to the local auto shop :(
 


NO don't use pb blaster buy a can of electrial parts cleaner or maf cleaner at your local auto parts store.
