Help with body repairs

I was wondering when you were gonna chime in on here. Lol

The metal in front of the airbox is pushed in but it should be alright.

The headlight bracket compared to the other side is getting closer but it's still pushed back but I don't think it will matter too much

The front bolt hole for the fender sits lower than it should but like you said I can deal with that once I actually have it

Is there a way to separate the hood hinge from the fender? Or do I need to buy a new hood hinge too

As far as the JY is concerned, hinge is part of fender. You can possibly twist the hinge back and forth a few times to pop the weld loose. For sure you could drill the weld out. When I need to swap just a fender, I prop up that side of the hood and unbolt it from the hinge so the hinge can stay on the fender. A padded block of some sort is placed under the back corner of the hood. I did that on my GT then tackled making the hood work. It was hurt a lot worse than yours but I put a wood block on the upper core support and stood on the buckled side of the hood until it closed securely and cleared. No fvcks given about the big dents, it looks like a car again to most people. The upper unibody side rail was mashed in from the side enough that I just left the front bolt out of the top row on the fender. You may have to do a little bodyman-ing or get creative to mount your headlight but yep it's the slots where the plastic tabs go that will be the main thing on that.

Well guys I'm out of school and it's time to get back at it again.

Got new headlights in and I'm going to put them on today and make sure the metal is the right shape again.

I would post pictures but Photobucket fcked everything up so I'm going to have to find a new site

Flickr and imgur are pretty good. I've been using imgur for a while now and no issues. Just make sure you upload them to private not public otherwise trolls will troll your pictures.

The car gods we're looking down on me yesterday because after going to every junk yard in Memphis I found a black grand prix

I got a hood a fender and a bumper cover that is in way better condition than mine.

I got everything but the hood on last night and I fought it forever but now it's all pretty decently lined up.

Only problem now is the stupid headlights. They won't fit in there right. They are too far forward or something I'll take some pictures and post them later tonight

Didn't read the whole post. People on imgur downvoted and commented on my sh*t the second I posted it...

How is the headlight mounted? I can tell that the bolt holes don't line up. Did you fit the tab into the sheet metal?

It won't fit. The inner one will but the one closer to the fender won't reach. It's like something in the back is in the way but I can't figure out what

It's like something is pushing it forward and you have to push hard as hell in the headlight just to get it close to the hole

Got everything on including the headlight

Driving it to work right now so fingers crossed

Well how did the drive to and from work go?

Did your car blow apart like a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle?
Everything stayed in but the hood was shaking a ton which I fixed by screwing the stop things up and that fixed it.

Now the only thing is the headlight is pointed to far up. The first night it was pointed at every sign above me and last night I adjusted it but it was still pointed too high.

Looks plenty more than good enough ! Nice job. I'm sure you've given others (and me ) hope in an unfortunate situation. Can you sum up the bottom line? Dollars and hours?

So the body parts were all found at the junk yard and they were black so only $100 for body parts and then $60 for a new set of headlights

Not sure on the hours though. The fender took a long a** time to get off and a long a** time to get on and lined up and the good took a few tries to get lined up as did all the metal so I would say at least 20 hours
