Help with body repairs

That has to be close to a write-off.

I had similar/less damage to my T-Bird 7 years ago, and my insurer wrote the car off. They based the repairs on OE parts, which are next to impossible to find. I got $4200 for a $2000 car. LOL

Dang man that's what's up. I would like to do that but for some reason Nationwide in Mississippi won't insure a car with a salvage or rebuilt title

Not that I remember. I think it's just clipped on if my memory serves me right.
Too bad you don't live closer, I have a black hood and fender.

Give car-part.com a search and see what comes up. I've always had good luck there. Worst case, let me know if you come up empty and I'll take a trip to my local yard and see if they have any. They usually have quite a few GP's in the yard. Problem is shipping from Missouri.

So what in here needs to get bent back?

I tried to get the metal in front of the airbox beat back into place but it's taking a while.

Hey nice work. Keep workin it. In Oregon insurers will only insure salvaged title cars with limited liability.

Harbor freight sells a cheap dolly and hammer set. It will help reworking the headlight area.

I thought it was gona be worse

Yeah. It's good that I got everything apart while I had my break over the holiday. I'm going to school Monday through Friday from 8 to 3 and I'm working every day this week 😓

Saturday before I go to work I'm planning on checking my main junk yard and I might explore some other little ones in the area

Also, I have a dolly set with hammers and everything. I'll take a picture of it some time

Any cheap cars for sale in your area? Find one with a bad tranny or engine and buy it for $300-500? Instant parts car.

You thinking about sayin the hell with it and swapping to the 40th or just buying the parts car? it is after all black

I have always wanted a 40th. But those are just all the local grand prixs that weren't SEs with the weird front bumper. No parts cars but I'm gonna look on the Facebook sales and what not

Subscribed to all the text updates from the local yards I like. Let's see if a black 2 door shows up

Just saw this. My GT has similar damage but more severe. I put a headlight and fender on and nobody cares. Don't mess around with the inner structure too much until you have installed and attempted to line up another hood and fender, and have the replacement headlight mounting panel in hand. At that point, you can see what you gotta do to get a lamp back in it. If you want to know if the structure has been knocked out of square, choose symmetrical reference points across the engine compartment and measure in an X.

That rivet is a real buzzkill, and so is the lone spot weld holding hood hinge to fender originally. If you had not swerved a little, you may not have had that much damage up front but the airbags might have blown and really killed it. Keep your eyes peeled for Camaro brakes too if you are frequenting yards. I'll check in on you now that I am aware you had a wreck. Sounds like you just have liability insurance, yep. Thats something you should have been well aware of. I do keep full coverage on my GTP even though it has so many miles. The difference in price is totally worth it in these situations.
