• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Help me think out my cam decision

Lol no you didn't :-P and I feel like with an IC its just go big or go home. People seem to have a lot of heat soak issues with SSICs

Yeah I fixed it right away. Sorry for a misspell. But you dont have room for a Full Size. Go with a SS. Will still cool the air temps.

True... It's all apart right now and I actually have an FSIC complete kit right now... Maybe when I go tear it apart to sell stuff I'll go to town with an angle grinder and see what i can make happen. Moving it up will also recreate firewall to intake issues.. already heavily clearanced the firewall..

If you can fit a Full Size IC under there, it will make your car that much more unique. A lot of custom work.

Or sell FS IC and buy SS.

Well the motor's coming out.. So there will be a lot of room in there. I cant stand in the engine bay with an angle grinder and make that cowl my *****. lol

If the hood doesn't clear I could care less. I'll cut it open and slap a clear cowl on it lol

IF i do meth it'll be a direct port setup tapped into each runner in the LIM. Or NOS... Idk lol. I know in our SC's you don't want meth pre blower because it's really bad for the coating.
I would think twice about the meth setup if I was you seeing you have little to no room for an intercooler.
Meth is a great chemical/liquid intercooler and it's use and initial purchace price are relatively cheap, I would give no cares about silly blower coating. The meth would go a long ways towards cooling the Heaton and the intake charge. Meth will actually tighten up the blower and fill in the places where the coating is already gone. Big boy race superchargers (roots MFI setups) use drizzler nozzles for this very purpose to cool and tighten up the blower.
Meth is a great way to get rid of a bit of KR... I've seen a simple setup take care of up to 4-5 degrees of KR, not sure how the other guy said it slowed him down?
It's magic juice I tell ya!

I agree meth can help if set up right. I put the recommended size nozzle in a tb spacer, it was to much for the rotors. The car lagged with it. Swapped it out for a very small nozzle runs fine with it. People use it all the time with great results.

Would I see any big gains with meth if I am already running e85? I know technically meth is a little higher octane, and has a greater chemical coolant capacity, but over 100-110 octane e85, not sure how much difference there would be. And you would inject Pre-SC? not direct port in the LIM?

I would run it through the manifold duel nozzles one on each side. Just a personal choice a tb spacer works to. I had the tb spacer with a cheap devil's own kit worked ok. I now have a inch spacer between the manifold and blower that I'm putting duel nozzles with a progressive kit. I know your tight on space you could put them into your manifold. Either way it will help a little, kills some kr. I would look into the progressive kits, there a little more money but worth it in my opinion. Do some research on them, everyone has there own opinion on them.

You don't need a tune, though it would help. I just use it as a cooling aid to kill a little kr. If you put in some huge nozzle then yes i would tune it. I don't want to have a tune relying on the meth, just a personal choice. Like anything you could put big nozzles in tune it with great results. But with all the money doing this you could put your money elsewhere, comes down to personal choice, how much money you want to spend and is it worth it to you? For the price of a meth kit you could put that money elsewhere in the car.

I would have no idea what I would do differently for a custom cam... You think just ask comp cams what they think?

I love me some XFI lobes.
You can make a bunch more power with a cam that isn't so radical on duration.
XFI lobes are aggressive tho... I'd run some 140 or 150 springs.
